An interesting meeting took place in the Vatican – the Pope shook hands with the local Spider-Man, who presented a copy of the superhero mask to the pontiff.
The suit was Italian Mattia Willardita, who is famous in the Vatican for his visits to children in hospitals, 1,500 video calls to hospitals during a lockdown due to coronavirus.
In 2020, he was awarded by the President of Italy for his volunteer work – he was called a “real superhero”.
Spider-Man’s comment on his meeting with the Pope:
I asked Pope Francis to pray for the children and their families. I gave him my spare mask, because it is through it that I see the pain of hospital patients every day. It was interesting because he immediately understood what my mission was.
