“The Resident” gets axed – Matt Czuchry lands a bone-chilling role in “American Horror Story”!

The news is official: The Resident will not have a seventh season. After six successful seasons and 107 episodes, the TV series will not return for another episode cycle and Fox has formalized the cancellation. Season 6’s declining ratings, with an 18 percent drop in the 18-49-year-old viewer demographic, and reduced episode order (13 versus 23 for season 5) already signaled the imminent cancellation.
