Due to the time it takes to develop and produce an animated film, it is possible that single 3 may hit theaters five years later single 2. This would mean that all of the cast members involved would be playing their characters for a full decade. The character that should surely return is Buster Moon, in fact the protagonist of both films. His dreams and intriguing nature may very well lead him to a new city to put on a new show. However, McConaughey doesn’t make a habit of sticking around in franchises, considering he left the cast of Magic Mike after only the first iteration.

The sequel to single he could very well be following one of Buster’s protégés, intent on following their mentor and building a career for themselves. Some cast members like Scarlett Johansson And Reese Witherspoon they may decide to opt out due to their long list of commitments. However, the movie could potentially bring back Taron Egerton as the gorilla Johnny o Tori Kelly as the elephant Meena, potentially with a cameo by Good who would reprise the role of rock star lion, Clay Calloway.
