The Oscars at the feet of Romagna From Rihanna with her baby bump to Cate: the San Mauro shoes parade

In the eyes of the most attentive, the novelty immediately caught the eye: for the first time since 1961, the carpet of the 95th edition of the Academy Awards – the well-known Oscars of Hollywood cinema – is no longer red, but champagne-coloured. To tread it, many stars wearing the shoes of the San Mauro Pascoli district: a confirmation that, despite the continuous upheavals of the market, beauty, luxury and elegance still live in these parts.

Actress Cate Blanchett was awarded the report card of the best dressed diva, in a Louis Vuitton total look and black satin pumps by Giuseppe Zanotti, an archive model dating back to 2012. Candidate for the statuette for Tàr, a film in which she plays – masterfully – the role of an orchestra conductor, Blanchett was appreciated not only for her particularly chic look, but also for her habit of wearing previously seen clothes and shoes: a resolutely ecological message, in line with the social commitment of the actress.

Among those who narrowly missed out on the coveted statuette was also Rihanna, nominated for best song and presented on the catwalk with her belly covered by a semi-transparent dress, designed by Alaïa. At her feet, sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti created especially for her. It is not the first time that the Barbadian singer has opted for a Sammaurese maison: just over a month ago, on the occasion of the Superbowl (the final of the National Football League championship, watched on TV by 150 million viewers), she wore a pair of ‘gladiator’ sandals, with crossed laces up to the thigh, by Gianvito Rossi.

Going back to the Oscars, Giuseppe Zanotti really did the lion’s share: he was also chosen by Kate Hudson – also voted among the best dressed actresses of the evening, with a bright Louis Vuitton dress – and Elizabeth Olsen, best known for her acting in the Marvel series The Avengers. Actress Halle Berry, on the other hand, preferred a pair of Casadei sandals.

Speaking of Casadei, the big man from San Marino consoles himself with the stars of our house: in a recent performance at ‘Che tempo che fa’, Elodie wore the ‘Super blades’ in red patent leather. At the same time, Gianvito Rossi scored her umpteenth royal appearance: invited to the inauguration of a fintess center in Wales, Princess Kate Middleton jokingly challenged her husband, the heir to the throne of England, on her exercise bike William. Who won between the two? Of course she: even dressed in a longuette skirt and high-heeled boots, she managed to tear her husband apart in just 45 seconds.
