The singer Ciara postpones show due to coronavirus | Voice of America


The singer, winner of Grammy, Ciara, has announced that it will postpone a concert due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus. Ciara, who is pregnant, was going to act in Texas at the inauguration of the new Fort Hood USE the 19 of march, but announced on Saturday that the event will be postponed.

“With the continuous spread of the coronavirus in the U.S., as a pregnant woman, my doctors they have advised me to limit the trips and meetings of large groups,” said Ciara in a statement.

“I’m disappointed not to be able to return this month to the place where I was born, Ft. Hood, Texas, and give it the incredible show that we had planned”, he added.

The grand opening of the new Fort Hood USE now will take place in the summer and the concert was rescheduled for the end of this year.

“I urge everyone to be diligent in taking steps to stay healthy and safe,” said Ciara.

The announcement of Ciara came a day after organizers of the festival South by Southwest in Austin, announced that they had cancelled this annual gathering of art and technology.

On Thursday, the electronic music festival Ultra, was originally planned from 20 to 22 march in Miami, with David Guetta, The Chainsmokers and more, it was postponed officially.

On the other hand, Mariah Carey announced that deferred a concert on march in Honolulu to November due to the coronavirus. Outside of the united States, have deferred or canceled more shows.

The stop tour of Queen and Adam Lambert in Paris has been postponed, while Maluma and Louis Tomlinson since they do not perform shows in Milan. And in Asia, several artists, such as BTS, Green Day, Avril Lavigne and Khalid, have been cancelled or postponed live shows.
