Marco Antonio Muñiz Rivera, or better known as Marc Anthony, began his musical career with the hip hop genre and in 1991 reached number one on the American charts. Over the years, he became a great musical reference and his melodies range from salsa, through bolero, ballads and pop.
Although his songs are mostly in Spanish, it should be noted that his mother tongue is not this. He had to overcome challenges to learn it and today he handles it with great fluency. However, there is a surprising fact that only a few know about the Puerto Rican-American singer-songwriter and that is that during his childhood and adolescence he was stutterer.
“I was a stutterer, in my childhood I grew up stuttering, it was difficult for me to say the simplest things, but when I sang it was taken away from me, that for me was a sanctuary, where I hid myself”, acknowledged Anthony in an interview with Adela Micha.
In addition, the ex of Jennifer Lopez He assured that “he owes a lot to music” and that is why he pays special attention and dedication to each of the productions he makes. “I have respect for what the art of music is and it gave me life, my way of expressing myself when I couldn’t even order a hamburger or whatever”, he pointed.
And he remarked: “Music changed my life forever and it wasn’t because I was famous, it was out of necessity. I ended up protecting my art, what God gave me, that’s why each album, each letter, each arrangement seems like ten years because I have to give it what has given me a life “.
