The third week of the “Complete Vaccine, Life’s Best Gift” campaign starts tomorrow

Under the motto “Complete vaccine, the best gift of life,” the Chaco Public Health Department is strengthening and expanding coverage to children and adults. The event started on September 4th and will last until October 6th.

All vaccines in the national calendar and COVID-19 are administered at more than 300 authorized vaccination centers in the provincial network and at posts deployed in 8 health districts.

The goal is to complete the vaccination program for boys and girls, young people and adults, pregnant women, people with risk factors and people over 65 years of age. In addition, it seeks to promote communication and cooperation among the province’s health regions, identify areas with low coverage and develop strategies to resume vaccination programs and strengthen nominal dose recording in the Chaco region.

20,000 doses of vaccine administered in first week

The campaign is planned through strategies targeting the following target groups: Week 1 “Boys and girls aged 0 to 24 months”; Week 2 “Enrollment”; Week 3 “Boys and girls aged 11 years”; Week 4 ” “Pregnant Women”; Week 5 “Vaccines for Adults and Risk Groups”.

Two weeks after the campaign began, a total of 19,420 vaccine doses have been administered in Chaco Province and registered in the NOMIVAC system. As part of the strategy, vaccination stations are deployed in kindergartens, daycare centers and schools, while patients with incomplete schedules are monitored.

Rosa Gauto, head of the immunization unit, commented: “We use school clinics to promote the importance of vaccines and adhering to our national calendar, and this has achieved very good results among school-age boys and girls.”

In the third week, from Monday 18 September to Friday 22 September, the operation will target a target group of boys and girls as young as 11 years old.

All vaccines on the national calendar will be available, with special emphasis on: HPV (human papillomavirus), to prevent the risk of cancer in adulthood; Triple Cell-Free Bacteria to protect against diphtheria, tetanus and whooping cough; Meningococcus (formulated for adolescents) single dose); control triple virus and hepatitis B if not vaccinated in childhood (schedule can start or be completed with these vaccines); monitor COVID-19 vaccination; control influenza in boys and girls with risk factors Vaccination.

The Department of Immunization emphasizes the importance of vaccination in this age group to ensure the effectiveness of the vaccines boys and girls receive during childhood, either through booster doses, single doses or the start of other vaccination programmes.

Tuesday 19th: vaccinations at School 41 and in the Paula Albarracín Gardens of Ayacucho and Pellegrini (Resistencia) from 10:30 am to 2 pm.

Wednesday 20th: Vaccination information at the health fair at the school, 169 Rómulo Zábala, Gerardo Varela 26 (Resistencia), from 8 am to 12 noon.Vaccination station at the Normal School Donovan 425 (Resistencia) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Thursday 21st: Vaccination at School 2 and Garden 28, Obligado 450 (Resistencia) from 11 am to 2 pm.

Friday 22nd: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., vaccination station located at School No. 33 Independencia, Las Heras 220 (Resistencia).
