The upcoming MCU release calendar is changing again

THAT Marvel Studios revised the calendar of upcoming releases again. The strike currently underway by WGA and SAG-AFTRA is having a major impact on the major’s strategies and is effectively hindering show programming and release windows in the medium to long term.

  • What if…?: The second season of the animated series will be released on December during the holiday season. The show was originally supposed to debut on streaming in the early months of 2023, but the reasons for the postponement were never revealed.
  • Echo: Spin-off series Hawkeye in which Alaqua Cox will return as the eponymous character was moved from November 29 to January 2024. It has also been confirmed that all episodes of the show will be available immediately, which pays off. Echo the first mass release of a Marvel product on Disney+.
  • X-Men ’97: The long-awaited revival of the popular animated series The Ultimate X-Men 1990s is postponed from autumn 2023 toearly 2024.
  • Agatha: The Darkhold Diaries: Spin-off series Wanda Vision changes its name again and will be distributed inautumn 2024. Filming for the show wrapped shortly before the announcement of the strike and will mark the return of Kathryn Hahn as the witch Agatha Harkness.
  • Loki: The debut of the long-awaited second season of the series starring Tom Hiddleston has been confirmed. October 6.

Other upcoming shows currently filming such as Daredevil: Reborn AND Wonder Man, have been put on hold pending resolution of the stalemate between unions and studios, a factor that will inevitably lead to further extensions of distribution times. Filming Iron heart instead, they were able to finish on time, even if the series is far from finished.
