The VMAS 2023 awards ceremony was broadcast live on MTV: the names of the candidates became known

Blackpink, Diddy, Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, Sam Smith, Shakira, Sa are among the top nominees for the first 2023 VMA nomination, in addition to GloRilla, Ice Spice, Kim Petras, Metro Boomin, Peso Pluma, PinkPantheress, Rema, Renee Rapp and many more.

The award ceremony will take place at the prestigious The Prudential Center of New Jersey said it enthusiastically welcomed the VMAs for the second year in a row and for the third time in five years, adding that the Prudential Center continues to position itself as one of the five largest institutions in the world capable of hosting such events. Last year’s show brought some of music’s greatest legends to the stage.

The global event will celebrate the biggest names in music: incredible surprises, unique performances and audiences full of adoring fans will be seen in 150 countries around the world during the broadcast, which will be broadcast in Italy at night from 12 to 13 hours. September starts at 02:00 on MTV (Sky channel 131 and broadcast on NOW) and MTV Music (Sky channels 132 and 704) and will be preceded by a pre-show starting at 00:30.

Subtitled repeats will be shown on MTV (Sky channel 131 and broadcast on NOW) on 13 September at 22:00, 15 September at 23:55 and 17 September at 7:35 on MTV Music (Sky channels 132 and 704) on MTV Music (Sky channels 132 and 704). The highly anticipated nominees for the 2023 VMAs, a show celebrating the work of artists whose cultural impact has reshaped the music industry over the past 12 months and sparked global conversations, have finally been announced by MTV, which also released the preliminary rankings: Taylor Swift (8) leads this year’s nominations, hoping to repeat her win for Video of the Year after setting a record last year by becoming the only artist to win three times in one of the most beloved categories. She is followed by SZA (6), Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo and Sam Smith (5 each), and BLACKPINK, Diddy and Shakira (4 each).

The 2023 Awards will boast a record number of first-time VMA nominees: Starting today through September 1st, fans can vote for their favorite artists in 15 gender-neutral categories, including an all-new Best Afrobeats category, as well as the coveted Video categories of the Year presented by Burger KingĀ® and Entertainer of the Year by visiting voice.mtv.com; Voting for Best New Artist will also continue during the show on Tuesday, September 12th.

Nominations for social categories, including Group of the Year and Song of the Summer, will be announced at a later date.
