There are already 216 positive cases of Covid-19 in Quintana Roo

CANCUN, Quintana Roo

The Secretary of Health of Quintana Roo reported this afternoon that the number of positive cases Covid-19 in the entity has risen to 216, that is 53 more than in the pastwhile still 187 are found in the study.

The greatest amount of people affected by the virus, 156, are in Cancun, where, among other actions, the municipal government maintains operating sanitation with water, chlorine and detergent in points of concentration of those who remain on the street performing essential activities. Even they have installed 22 points of hygiene with a supply of water and soap in rest stops of public transport.

Today Quintana Roo reported 17 deathsof which 7 happened in Benito Juarez (Cancun), 7 in Solidarity (Playa del Carmen), two in Othón P. Blanco and a in Tulum.

In the 11 municipalities of the state, the security forces have maintained operating on beaches, public spaces, spas and green areas to encourage people to to stay at home.

Emphasis is placed on the need for older adults (60 years and over), pregnant women, people suffering from chronic diseases such as hypertension or diabetes or any cardiovascular disease avoid going out in the street.
