Renovating kitchens is one of the Scott brothers’ specialties, the famous twins who have built an empire through architecture. Gone are the days when they worked as waiters, selling hangers or even magicians. Its project “My Dream House” has successfully entered many homes, leaving many other families satisfied with its proposals.
There is no doubt that the kitchen is one of the most personal spaces when renovating. To be a place where residents truly live, you must know how to give it a personal and perfect touch. But if there is one thing that recurs in the projects undertaken by the famous twins, it is that the concept of an open kitchen was conceived precisely because of the need to live together as a family.
This is a very un-Spanish concept, at least until recently. Tradition has always marked closed and separated spaces, and the oldest houses present vast environmental divisions. But things have changed. In fact, many experts choose open kitchens for several reasons: greater visual width, connection, utilization of more square meters, brightness, promotion of social relations.
