It seems rather strange because Xiaomi Mi 8 is not on the list
Xiaomi is currently engaged in internal testing of the MIUI 13 shell based on the Android 12 operating system. According to previous reports, the company will officially announce this shell in August 2021, presumably with the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 smartphone.
Now, an unofficial list of smartphones that will definitely receive MIUI 13 has been published:
Xiaomi Mi 11
Xiaomi Mi 10
Xiaomi Mi 9
Redmi note 10
Redmi note 9
Redmi note 8
Sources add that the four-year-old flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 6 will also receive the MIUI 13 firmware. This seems rather strange since the Xiaomi Mi 8 is not on the list. Recently, Lei Jun, founder, and CEO of Xiaomi Group said that the flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 6 still has millions of active users. In addition, he hinted that the company may release a re-release of this smartphone.
MIUI 13 is rumored to support interoperability with computers, tablets, and TVs. The dynamic and display effects will be smoother and more vibrant than MIUI 12. There will also be new tools and functional plugins.
