“They don’t have a life. They threaten me”: Piqué against Shakira’s fandom

By now the divorce between the former champion of Barcelona, Gerard Pique and the Colombian singer Shakira is increasingly at the center of gossip. And while the pop star is on the verge of definitively putting an end to their relationship, leaving Barcelona once and for all to move with his sons Milan and Sasha to Miami, Piqué – during an interview with the Spanish Gerard Romero – he decided to have his say against the comments that he has received in recent months from haters on social media.

Piqué’s outburst

In fact, the former Barcelona defender during an interview in which he recounted the difficult period he went through in the last year following his separation from the mother of his children, decided to vent addressing very strong words against web users and, in particular, against the pop star’s fandom who took a solid stand against the former footballer. “No one thinks of the other person, of the one who receives so much contempt, of his mental health. Where do we go? To the point that someone suicides and then say ‘Ah, we went too far’? I’m very disappointed with the way the world is going,” explained Gerard Piqué to the microphones of the Spanish Romero.

Obviously, however, one could not even be missing dig to the Colombian pop star and so, the former footballer thundered against the former Shakira: “My ex is Latin American… you don’t know what I’ve been through on social networks. Threats of death, incredible, absurd things. Of people who are fans of my ex, they don’t give a damn.” Finally, according to Piquè, Shakira’s fans would not have a life and so, addressing heavy words towards those who have not spared him from strong attacks in recent months, he concluded: “They don’t have a life, they stand there with the phone in their hand. And what importance can I give them? Zero. They know nothing about life, they are like robots. I treat them as if they were automatons”.

Shakira’s answer

Piqué’s statements have certainly not gone unnoticed by his ex-wife. What Shakira didn’t particularly like were the words addressed to the community Latin American and as soon as the interview released by Piqué started circulating on the net, the singer’s response was certainly not long in coming. In fact, the pop star did not express herself on the threats that her ex claims to have received, but she immediately sided with her fans, posting a message on her official Twitter account, probably addressed to former footballer: “Proud to be Latin American”

. Furthermore, to accompany the tweet he added a series of emojis indicating the flags of the states object of Piqué’s criticism.

In short, the story between Gerard Piqué and Shakira would really seem, in one way or another, to never have end.
