In a conversation with Rolling Stone, Emma Stone revealed that there were times when she improvised a joke that suited both the scene and her character, but the director gave it to her male co-star, essentially stealing her line. She said,
“I’m hesitant to talk about being a woman, but there have been times when I’ve improvised and they’ve laughed at my joke and then passed it on to my male partner. Given my joke. She mentioned that the filmmakers didn’t take her opinions on certain lines of dialogue seriously.

Emma Stone speaks out about the gender pay gap in Hollywood
One of the biggest issues of feminism and equality that has been talked about and raised is the gender parity and pay gap that exists in industries. Hollywood is also known for the large pay gap between the sexes, with a 2019 study by the University of Huddersfield finding that female actors were paid $1.1 million less than their male counterparts.
