They offer Legionella courses to hotel and motel staff

The National Council for the Prevention of Health Risks (Coepris), under the direction of the agency’s head, Alberto Castro Cabrera, organized a conference on the prevention of Legionella-related diseases in hotels, motels and hospitals courses to prevent and mitigate health risks in these institutions.
During this course, 15 people working in these institutions were trained. During the training, the importance of proper maintenance of shower heads, sink faucets, drinking fountains and other drinking equipment was emphasized, as Legionella bacteria thrive in freshwater environments. Emphasize the need to maintain constant cleanliness of these areas using chlorinated water, and the importance of regular monitoring of water tanks and water tanks.

The Coepris chief stressed that these measures are crucial to prevent the spread of this and other bacteria that could endanger the health of the population. Additionally, the importance of training staff in these facilities to avoid acute respiratory infections such as pneumonia was emphasized.
