Oscar-winner Bill Corso was at the forefront of the creative process, with sessions that took up to six hours to apply makeup to the Mexican actor.

The new episodes of “Luis Miguel: the series” have already landed on Netflix, and in this second season Diego Boneta faces the challenge of giving life to the singer in two different timelines: in the 90s, when he was little more than 20 years old, and already in his thirties in the first stage of 2000.

The masterful way in which the actor has managed to get into the skin of the Sun of Mexico has earned him the recognition of both the public and the critics and, on this occasion, the Oscar-winning makeup artist  Bill Corso was hired to lead the creative transformation process, carried out by a Mexican team on a daily basis and which initially took about six hours to complete. “It took us between four and six hours to apply makeup every day,” Diego confirmed to the Billboard portal.

Luckily for him, eventually the time was shortened to just over two hours, but the biggest challenge remained creating and handling a prosthesis thin enough to transform his face without looking like a cartoon. “Yes, it’s weird first, but then you feel like it’s part of the day,” he joked in a video that he shared on Instagram, offering a glimpse of what was happening inside the makeup and hairstyling trailer.
