Canadian rapper, songwriter, and record producer Drake has set a new record. He became the first artist to reach 50 billion streams on Spotify.
According to Chart Data, writes hypebeast, Drake is the first and only artist to have 50 billion streams on Spotify. There are a total of 12 recordings of him on the streaming platform, including the debut EP So Far Gone, which only appeared on Spotify in February 2019.

The musician reacted to the good news on his Instagram by posting a text about his achievement and an emoticon to his stories.
Also in 2020, Drake broke the record for being the artist with the most tracks to hit the Billboard Hot 100.
The rapper’s fans are now awaiting the release of his sixth studio album, Certified Lover Boy, due early this year.
As a reminder, in December 2019, Drake was named the most popular musician on Spotify with 28 billion streams. In 2020, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny became the most listened to, whose songs have been listened to 8.3 billion times.
