This Is How the Century-Old House Where Johnny Depp Filmed ‘a Nightmare on Elm Street’ Currently Looks Like

This is how Johnny Depp's house looks like in fiction.

Although in fiction we were led to believe that it was in Ohio, the famous house, which has just been sold, is actually located in a Los Angeles neighborhood

The successful movie ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street, starring Johnny Depp in 1984, made headlines again a few days ago, but not because there was going to be a sequel, but rather because of the sale of the famous house that appeared in the plot.

Although in the fiction it is said that the house is located in the city of Springwood, in Ohio, the reality is very different, since it is located in the neighborhood of Spaulding Square, in Los Angeles, California.

The residence, which has an area of 2,714 square feet and was built in 1917, was sold, on April 2, 2021, for $ 2,385,000, without the identity of the lucky buyer being revealed so far.

The house was put up for sale in February for $ 2,795,000 dollars, however, its then-owners decided to settle for one of the first offers they made and that ended a little over a month ago.

According to the technical file, released by various specialized real estate media, the property has four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

It also has a hall, kitchen, dining room, dining room, living room, main room, office, balconies, among other rooms.

The kitchen is one of the rooms that attract the most attention due to its size and its distribution. It is made up of a white cupboard, high-end appliances, and a central island in the shape of an ‘else’s, which can be used to prepare food and as a breakfast area.

Also inside the kitchen, there is a kind of dining room, which is equipped with a circular table, two chairs, and a comfortable gray modular armchair.

The master bedroom, which was probably where the previous owners slept, has a large dressing room and a bathroom with a transparent shower.

Outside, in its 0.15 acres of land, there is a small garden, a terrace with a barbecue area, a tanning area, a garage for two vehicles, and an adjacent building that can be used as a guest house.

Despite being nearly 100 years old, the property was extensively remodeled in 2016, so it looks just as it did in its prime.
