These are Miu Miu’s thong boots, presented during the spring-summer 2023 fashion show, which combine the comfortable fit of a leather boot with the distinctive Y-shaped string of flip-flops. Miu Miu’s thong boots immediately attract attention because of their showy silhouette, which is closer to the peep toe boot, but even more daring. In white or black nappa leather, or in yellow, brown, pink or green suede, the Miu Miu model has already won over the foremost celebrities, focusing on the functionality of the hybrid boot in view of summer.
Available online for €1550 (or €980 for the ankle boot), Miu Miu’s thong boots feature a delicate kitten heel in true ’90s style, adding flair to the extravagant silhouette. But there’s also a more casual model with a Cuban heel, which Emily Ratajkowski wore on the runway. Rita Ora chose the black leather version, and matched it with a blue sweater from the same collection and a belt with maxi pockets.
