Tom Brady admits watching Patriots games in 2023 will be ‘hard’

Former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady shares it was ‘hard’ watching his former team struggle

It’s been a rough year for the New England Patriots, to say the least. This team that was once unbeatable and competed in the AFC Champions League every year a few years ago has declined. The six-time Super Bowl champions fell to the Indianapolis Colts 10-6 and are now just 2-8 as their dynasty slips further.

Tom Brady, one of the former leaders of that dynasty, is finding it difficult to watch his old team find itself in a position where it is now. Since Brady left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Patriots have made the playoffs once in 2021. Their record fell to a new low this season as Belichick suffered two of the worst one-sided losses of his entire coaching career.

“I miss mehard to see Brady tells Stephen A. Smith that football is a tough sport. It illustrates that when a team really puts it all together and they do a lot of things the right way, you see sustained success. When you do things the right way, you’ll be rewarded for it,” from The Stephen A. Smith Show.

“They have a lot of pieces in New England doing things the right way, but there’s very little room for error,” Brady added.

Now, the Patriots are the latest team to be embroiled in quarterback controversy, having benched Mac Jones for Bailey Zappe last week due to Jones’ poor performance. New England ranks second-to-last in points per game under Jones, who has a 10-10 TD-INT ratio. Belichick has yet to name next week’s starters. Amid all the quarterback drama, rumors are swirling about coach Bill Belichick’s future with the team. No wonder Tom Brady has a hard time seeing his old team.
