‘Tom Brady is stalking me’: When John Cena made hilarious accusations against NFL legend despite never meeting him

Sixteen-time world champion John Cena once humorously stated that NFL star Tom Brady is following in his footsteps. Surprisingly, looking at Brady’s life and career, he seems to be following Cena’s lead. The former WWE Champion is certainly inclined to believe that suspicious activity is taking place.

John Cena passionately discussed his love for football during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He openly admits to admiring Tom Brady and following his career closely.

Cena jokingly hinted that Brady was always in his orbit. First, Cena and Brady are the same age. Another similarity is their New England roots, with Cena being born in the area and Brady playing for the New England Patriots for twenty seasons.

“We both won championships in our respective fields,” Cena noted, “and I moved to Tampa and him, you see, he was behind me there.” Cena even jokingly speculated that there were “weird” security around his residence camera, suspecting Brady’s involvement and saying “Tom Brady is following me.”

In a strange twist of fate, Tom Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers not long after John Cena settled in Tampa Bay. After adding the dots, Cena jokingly expressed his “secret theory” that Brady has been “stalking” him.

Despite never meeting him, Cena joked that he suspected he was being followed by Brady, especially the “weird security cameras” monitoring his property.

John Cena once compared himself to Tom Brady in a rare moment of magnificence

In a 2017 interview with TMZ, John Cena shared his support for the NFL’s New England Patriots when Tom Brady was a player on the team. Cena said his interest in the Patriots stems from the fact that they often face adversity but persevere toward success, something that other sports fans look down upon, except, of course.

Cena, known as the franchise player, also mentioned that his life seems to parallel Brady’s. Cena admires New England’s consistent performance, which doesn’t require a lot of hype, just like the way he achieves his goals.

Cena expressed his hope that Brady can win his fifth Super Bowl championship and his 16th WWE World Championship. Interestingly, years later, both wishes came true, bringing both men great success.
