BOSTON — In Tom Brady’s adult life, there haven’t been many people who made him feel small. That’s one of the benefits of being 6’4″.
However, after meeting NBA rookie Victor Victor Wembunyama, Brady finally realized this feeling. As people usually do when they start to feel something, Brady immediately went into baking mode.
“Great to meet you @wemby. Incredible young man,” Brady wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of him and Wembanyama. “Normally I’d make a little joke here and say I think I can get 10 and 10 against you, but honestly … you’re going to take my jump shot to the club level.”
After some self-deprecation, Brady suddenly put old friend Julian Edelman in his crosshairs:
“PS: @edelman11 this is how you’ve felt all these years???”
(Brady later tweeted his own Photoshop version Looks as tall as Wembanyama as he is clearly out of his comfort zone. )
After feeling the sting of being grilled, Edelman responded with a Michael Scott “I’m Dead” GIF in the comments.
There is a full foot difference in height between Vunbanyama and Brady. Brady doesn’t have as much of a shop as Edelman. It’s more like half a foot.
But as the skeptics know, when you’re baked, you’re baked. Tom Brady feels like he’s getting roasted.
