Houston Texans rookie quarterback and former Ohio State Buckeyes star CJ Stroud recently spoke with Tom Brady on his Let’s Go podcast. During the conversation, Tom Brady made a bet with Stroud.

“If Ohio State wins, which I really don’t think so, we’ll see anyway, how about, you’re going to get one of my Super Bowl rings,” Brady said to C.J. Stroud.

While Stroud didn’t take Brady’s ring as a bet, he did take the NFL legend’s bet. Stroud said he doesn’t want to take away Brady’s Super Bowl ring because he earned it. However, he does have interest in getting his own Super Bowl ring.

Tom Brady is betting on the Michigan Wolverines because he knows the team well as he was a member of the team from 1995 to 1999.

The NFL legend played against the Ohio State Buckeyes in 1998 and 1999, with Michigan winning 24-17 in 1999 on a touchdown pass from Tom Brady himself.

Stroud, on the other hand, was this year’s No. 2 overall pick out of Ohio State in April. As the starting quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Stroud lost twice to Michigan in 2021 and 2022. The next game will be interesting because Tom has already placed his bet.

Ohio State’s last loss was on November 26, 2022. Prior to this, Ohio State lost again on November 27, 2021.

If the Michigan Wolverines win against Ohio State on Nov. 25, it will be the first time the Wolverines have defeated Ohio State for the third consecutive year since the 1995-1997 season.
