When Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis gets back to selecting a head coach and general manager, he expects to look to a few people for guidance.

Tom Brady is one of them, according to CBS Sports, who said the Patriots legend “will have some degree of influence on the Raiders’ decision.”

Brady has been linked to the Raiders because Davis tried to sell him a portion of the franchise.

With Davis’ big move last week, he will make Brady part of his inner circle as the Raiders owner searches for a new head coach and general manager.

It’s unclear how much influence the seven-time Super Bowl champion will have on the decision-making process, but he will be one of four people in Davis’ inner circle following the firings of Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler one.

Brady’s expected influence in the decision-making process is interesting because of the roadblocks in the process of selling him the franchise.

The Washington Post reported last month that the league’s finance committee has been concerned about the discounted price Davis offered Brady for his equity.

Team president Sandra Douglass Morgan, whom Davis hired in 2022, is also expected to be involved in the process, along with several others.

Antonio Pierce was named interim head coach and Champ Kelly was named interim general manager.

But Davis will look to fill those positions with people who have a vision for the organization.

When it comes to their next coach, the Raiders are believed to want their next head coach to be a player-centered coach, according to CBS Sports.

Davis’ two most recent hires were offensive coaches.

The Raiders will face the Giants in Week 9 with a 3-5 record, but the team appears to be a little loose under Pierce after a head coaching change.
