The marriage of Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen was highly celebrated as it included the NFL’s most successful player and a highly sought-after model at the time. The former couple also has two children together: son Benjamin Wren and daughter Vivian Lake.
Recently, in an exclusive interview with People after an event celebrating her collaboration with Gaia Herbs, Bundchen revealed that a horrific horseback riding incident involving Vivian occurred three years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic. She recalled:
“Three years ago she took a fall and broke her arm, and then she stopped riding. She had to be pinned.”
Gisele added:
“I was there watching the whole thing in slow motion, and it was one of the worst days of my life. It was very intense. And then she was like, … for six months, she had to have the cast, She had to have another surgery to remove the pins.”
What did Gisele Bundchen do after the Vivian Brady riding incident?
Next, Gisele Bundchen, the longtime wife of New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Gisele Bundchen, described the initial aftermath of Vivian’s injury:
“A year later, after the pins were pulled, we started riding again. Just the Western kind. Easy on the beach.”
She added:
“When we went to Costa Rica, we were just riding easy. And then she, little by little, at first she was just riding with me in the saddle, and then she started riding on her own a little bit, slower.”
However, a few months later, Vivian wanted to dance again, and her mother agreed. She recalled:
“Sometimes I feel like we created the fear ourselves because I was so scared, because I had this fear, watching her go through this. When she got up from the horse when she was first injured, her arms were bent. She said: “Mom! “I was like, ‘Oh my God.'”
“But I feel like, at the end of the day, if we can show them confidence and say, ‘It’s OK, let’s go ride.'” Then, she felt like she was OK and I was OK. Now, she’s back, and she’s loving it. “
Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady divorced last October and share custody of their children.
