Tom Brady’s sage advice to Texans player CJ Stroud is worth listening to

Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady and Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud recently joined a podcast where Brady took the time to offer some advice to Stroud . Stroud is having one of the greatest rookie seasons in NFL history, but stability is what allows a quarterback to stick around and play through multiple contracts. Stroud had a chance to ask Brady some words of wisdom.

“What kind of process does your mentality go through when you start playing well? “How do you stay on the straight and narrow, even though you know you have people reaching out to you and family and the people around you? The world seems to be spinning and you’re just trying to stay focused and stay on the straight and narrow,” Stroud asked via a Reddit source.

“I think the big thing I really want you to realize is, now this is your job. Everybody, when they come to the game, it’s a vacation and it’s fun for them. Oh my God, we’re here to Watching CJ play. For you, you know you’re not going to interrupt your friends while they’re working. When they’re trying to really focus and do what they need to do. Hey man, can I interrupt you? Hey, I I know it’s really busy for you, but let’s go do something fun,” Brady responded.

Brady is one of the most accomplished football players and athletes of all time, so Stroud should pay close attention to conversations like this. Stroud is off to a great start, but Brady expressed the importance of staying focused through the highs and lows.

“You don’t need to be a source of entertainment for people all season long. This isn’t college anymore… The sooner you realize this is a career, you’re a professional, everyone is counting on you, you can’t teach you like a coach day Having a bad day like that…it’s fun, winning is fun…it’s not your responsibility to try to make it fun for other people besides that,” Brady continued.
