“A Crowded Room” is approaching a major twist that some viewers may not have been expecting in the final episode, and Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried are here to talk about it in every aspect!
As Danny Sullivan’s (Tom Holland) injuries boil under the surface, a dam breaks in an episode called “A Crowded Room” that reveals that many of the people who populate his life are actually his mind’s alter egos. . That’s right: Ariana (Sasha Lane), Itzak (Lior Raz), Johnny (Levon Hawke), Mike (Sam Vartholomes) and Jack (Jason Isaacs) are different personalities that Danny lives in, suffering from dissociative identity disorder, described on the series ” Multiple Personality Disorder”.
“There needs to be professionalism and she needs to feel like she’s someone he can trust right away.”Seyfried talks about her character’s approach, especially hiding the secret behind her true motives.
“You have to be very kind and patient to get information”adds the actress about Ria’s efforts to strip away the layers of history and Danny’s experience. About preparing for the role, the actress says: “I learned a lot about… how therapists talk to their patients”. Seyfried is candid and adds that when she visited her therapist and talked to him, “It was like he was following her without her knowing when I was talking to her”
.
Raya witnesses the appearance of Danny’s alter ego in Holland for the first time. “It was exciting. It was unpredictable”Seyfried says. “I mean, I knew his lines because I read the script, but I didn’t know how he was going to say them.”
The experience was just as intense for Holland, who compared it to “Drama school exercise, you know where we were on set or off set and we were doing some prep work and we were just filming scenes”. When it came to the role of his co-stars, Holland said: “I was very lucky that all my colleagues were so open to this kind of experimentation”.
