Tom Holland reflects on the importance of the Spider-Man films to film history

A few months ago, the book Spider-Man: No Way Home: The Official Special Movie was released in the United States, containing many unpublished details about the making of the film and numerous interviews with the main characters. Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire AND Zendaya.

In the volume, excerpted on, Holland reflected on the importance that films Spider-Man there is for film history:

It was wonderful for me to be on set with them because they are such amazing models. They are part of cinema history. I remember when I went to the cinema to see the first Tobey Maguire movie, I was speechless. Then I saw the others. And then I saw the first Andrew Garfield film when I was in Wales filming the film… In an interview a few years ago I said that my dream had always been to play Spider-Man, and that’s true, but having the opportunity to play with them was more more incredible. It was a real honor for me.
