(10) Homecoming
Amazon’s thriller about PTSD and government conspiracies is neither easy to watch nor particularly laborious, but it packs nerve, brilliant acting, and suspense.

(9) Rubbish
Neurotic, selfish, goofy, morally ambiguous and destructive, her life and life in the center of London is a gripping comedy in this fantasy sitcom.
(8) underground railway

Some drama series seem more grueling to navigate than others, and this is the case with Amazon’s famous story (based in part on true events) about American Civil War slaves who escape via an underground railroad. Directed by Oscar-winning Moonlight Barry Jenkins, he remains one of Amazon’s true gems, even if it sometimes hurts.
(7) British
There’s a poignant hilarity in The English, a mixture of humor and pure darkness, in which Emily Blunt, unable to lose her mind, travels across the Atlantic to try to avenge her son’s killer in Nebraska. Tight, elegant and well played.
(6) Sneaky Pete
Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston is the main creative force behind a high-quality dramatic thriller about Marius who, after being released from prison, steals the identity of his former cellmate and somehow infiltrates his life.
(5) Utopia
Gillian Flynn’s forgotten thriller about a group of young people brought together by the discovery of a massive conspiracy theory hidden in a popular comic book is as evocative as it is violent and bizarre.
(4) Space
Born on Syfy but rescued by Bezos himself, the series has since really grown on Amazon Prime, making it arguably one of the best sci-fi series of all time. The Expanse is a great political drama in many ways, laced with nuance and layers.
(3) Clarkson Farm
At first it seemed like Top Gear Clarkson Popeye-style failures, as the new farmer would be mostly made-up nonsense, but how wrong I was. There is genuine sincerity and something extremely subtle (along with brilliant comedy) in the way Clarkson and Farmer Calb try to navigate everyday farming life.
(2) boys
Garth Ennis’ ultra-dark comic tale of evil superheroes and the chronic lust for human power has been transformed by Amazon Prime into one of the most watchable, violent and entertaining series in recent years.
BEST AMAZON PRIME TV SERIES:
(1) invincible
When comic book genius Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead) and Amazon Prime produced a television drama based on Invincible, few thought they were preparing one of the best TV shows ever made. The story of teenager Mark Grayson and his character Superman in Father is a stylish exploration of smart and insightful characterizations, brilliant political malice, and the existential question of what makes us human. If you’re only going to watch one Amazon TV show, Invincible is definitely worth a look.
