Tomorrow it will arrive in Italian cinemas Transformers: Awakeninga film in the franchise that has nothing to do with the last movie in the saga hitting theaters, Bumblebee, released in 2018 by director Travis Knight and starring Hailee Steinfeld and John Cena.
the film was a good critical and commercial success, but never had a sequel, despite an apparently very open ending in that sense.
During an interview with the press about Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Hailee Steinfeld explained that she didn’t know anything about the hypothetical Bumblebee sequel and that she wasn’t too surprised by the fact that Transformers: Awakening unrelated to the 2018 movie:
I’m not that surprised (lack of connection between the two films, approx. ed.). I did not know further plans, but I like to do everything step by step. I have succeeded in this in my life. I tend to go beyond myself, so when it comes to big projects that have rumors and a big future, I like to focus on what’s ahead of me and do it the best I can.
