Travis Kelce acknowledges LeBron James after NBA icon’s social media plea

Travis Kelce revealed how he watched LeBron James’ games in high school after he asked to be added to his podcast, insisting he believed a message had been sent to the Los Angeles Lakers star invite.

Kelce has made headlines in recent weeks amid rumors he was dating Taylor Swift. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has yet to publicly confirm or deny the rumors, but has hinted at it on social media or on his podcast.

On October 4, James posted a message on X (formerly Twitter) about the Kelce Brothers podcast. The Los Angeles Lakers star expressed his desire to appear as a guest on the podcast and expressed his admiration for the show.

James wrote: “It’s crazy that I couldn’t get an invite to your amazing show! Is it because you guys are literally the King of Ohio (Northeast) and I claim to be? Seriously! Seriously, you guys are awesome !!”

The Kelce brothers, like James, are Ohio natives, although all three currently play outside of Ohio. In the latest episode of the podcast, released on Wednesday, Travis and Jason got to react to James’ tweet.

“It’s crazy, I didn’t expect him to be on this show,” Travis said, before adding: “There’s no way we didn’t extend an invitation to LeBron James.”

Jason also expressed his excitement for James to appear on the podcast, not only as an NBA legend, but as an Ohio native.
