Travis Kelce embarrassingly claims he invited LeBron James to join him on his podcast The New Highlands”.
The Chiefs star said on Wednesday’s latest episode that he “didn’t want” James to “call him names” on X (formerly Twitter) after he and Jason claimed they were “the kings of Northeast Ohio.” ” ‘In a previous recording.
Kelsey and James are both from “buckeye country,” hailing from Westlake and Akron respectively — a 52-minute drive between the two cities.
“There’s no way we didn’t extend an invitation to LeBron James,” the Chiefs star and Taylor Swift’s new boyfriend said on Wednesday’s latest episode.
“If we don’t, (then) intern Brian and intern Jack will hear from us,” Jason then said.
“Yeah… they know who the guys on our roster are the most interested in trying to get in here… they know who’s out there,” Travis added.
“Please let’s make this happen, Captain,” he further said of a possible collaboration between him, his brother and the NBA’s all-time scoring leader in the near future.
Jason went on to list why he absolutely wants James to appear as a guest on the show and what it would mean to him and Travis, who have idolized the four-time NBA champion since their childhood in the Midwest.
“We grew up watching you play. We watched your career as a player in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio — all the way from St. Vincent-St. Louis. Mary, so far…I think it’s safe to say, It’s an honor to speak with you,” Eagle Center said.
“Heck, yeah,” Chiefs tight end Travis added. “I remember watching… I went to a game at Cleveland State in seventh grade to watch LeBron James play high school basketball. His arena was sold out, like every arena in Northeast Ohio. . He sold so many tickets that they had to take it to a college stadium.
‘(…) He came off the backboard and threw it down. I left my seat. I was a little kid excited about the new wave of the NBA, and sure enough, he didn’t disappoint. “He keeps rising…it’s so cool to follow him.”
Jason and Travis continued to discuss James’ previous opportunity to carve out a career in the NFL, posting unseen footage of “The King” playing high school football on social media this week.
James plays wide receiver at St. Vincent-St. In the early 2000s, Mary was in high school. He was recruited by multiple DI programs, including Notre Dame, before embarking on his journey to become a professional basketball player.
In 2011, during the NBA lockout, the Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys offered James contracts.
