Ghosts, demons, witches, zombies and skeletons. On Tuesday, a group of scary characters broke into the streets of Villaviciosa. They shouted “Trick or treat” slogans, visited more than 100 local shops and snatched all the candy in stock. “I don’t know if we will run out of candy and it’s still six o’clock in the afternoon,” commented Lucía Llera from Lucía Moda Infantil.

There is clothing to suit every taste. Vampires, bloody angels and ghost hunters are ready to kill them all. There are also fictional characters such as Wednesday Addams, Harley Quinn, IT the Joker… They all visit the store with bags and pumpkins with the aim of filling them with sweets. “I have to be nice so I can eat them,” said little Elisa Suárez, who was accompanied by Adriana Sala.

The initiative started spontaneously from a group of businesses that decided to join forces to enliven the streets, but it exceeded the expectations of all participants because of the number of shops that joined (nearly 90) and the number of children who came out wearing costumes. “Last year some businesses had sweets, but we had very few people. This time more places came alive. “I didn’t know there were so many children in Villaviciosa,” Cristina Teja from Mercería Santa Clara commented Cristina Teja, dressed as Maleficent.

The little guys were so horny that she almost didn’t finish putting on her makeup. “At five o’clock, the kids were already waiting at the door,” he admitted. Starting from Sol Street, go through Víctor García de la Concha or Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Villaviciosa town center turns into a real Halloween party. “You have to do this every year,” the children insisted excitedly, their bags already filled with candy.
