Preview of the third chapter of the animated saga Trolls, directed by Walt Dohrn, was announced on the occasion of the presentation of the exhibition of animated films DreamWorks: Dreams, Magic and Adventure, which will take place in Rome from September 24 to October 29, 2023 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica by Ennio Morricone. In this new chapter Trollsaudiences will find all the characters from the first two films dedicated to the franchise and new characters for the family reunion.
Having explored themes of friendship and constant flirting between the two main characters, Branch and Poppy are now officially engaged, and as their relationship progresses, Poppy discovers that her lover has a secret past that he has never revealed. In fact, Branch was part of BroZone, Poppy’s favorite band, along with her four brothers: Floyd, John Dory, Spruce and Clay. But when the group broke up, Branch was still a child and hasn’t seen his brothers since. One day, a pair of evil pop stars, Velvet and Veneer, kidnap his brother Floyd, and Branch and Poppy go looking for the other troll brothers to try to save Floyd and stop him from becoming worse than the darkness of pop culture. However, during the journey, Poppy will also make a discovery that will leave her speechless: she has a sister.
This film, like its predecessors, will also be full of scenes full of psychedelic fun and the bright, sparkling colors that brought the franchisee success, as well as reimagined hits and brand new songs. In the original cast we find a wealth of international music and television talent such as Camila Cabello, Justin Timberlake, Zosia Mamet and RuPaul, who join a historic voice cast consisting of Zooey Deschamps, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt, Ron . Funches, Kunal Nayyar and Kenan Thompson.
In Italy, the voices of the main characters change in every film. Poppy’s voice in the first chapter was voiced by singer Elisa, who was replaced in the second film by Francesca Michielin, and in the first film, Branch was voiced by singer and Follya bandleader (formerly Dear Jack) Alessio Bernabei and in the sequel was instead voiced by the voice of Antonio “Stash” Fiordispino from The Kolors. In the third film, Branch will once again be voiced by Stash, and Poppy will be voiced by Lodovic Comello. In Italian cinemas Trolls 3 – All Together will officially be released on November 9, 2023, with a theatrical release scheduled for November 1.
