Paris Fashion Week wrapped up yesterday with the final run of popular shows including Chanel, Maison Margiela and Miu Miu. Designer Miuccia Prada’s latest spring 2024 collection featured top stars including Sydney Sweeney, Emma Corrin and Paris Hilton in the front row, but the runway was just as stellar. It is noteworthy that Troye Sivan walked the catwalk along with such supermodels as Gigi Hadid. “I’ve always been a (Miu Miu) fan,” he says. Fashion partnerships. “I always feel really, really cute in these clothes, so it was a dream come true.”
Sivan’s appearance couldn’t come at a better time as his highly anticipated album What to give to everyone Other, falls next Friday. (Are you as obsessed with his new single “Got Me Started” as we are?). On the runway, the singer wore a Miu Miu polo and dress shirt, board shorts and pumps. “I felt like a preppy boy on vacation who had just returned from the beach,” Sivan said of his look. “It was very fresh.”
Sivan sat front row throughout Paris Fashion Week at shows like Loewe and Rabanne, but walking the runway was a completely different experience. “It’s a completely different energy,” he says. “Behind the scenes is one of the most manic environments I’ve ever been in. But it’s really inspiring to have dream collaborators like Guido Palau on hair and Pat McGrath on makeup. I literally said, “Whatever you want to do to me, just do it, please.”
This wasn’t his first runway appearance, however: he made his Saint Laurent debut back in 2015 and walked the Savage x Fenty show again in 2021. However, will he compete for Miu Miu again next season based on this latest experience? “I would do it again, yes,” he says. “If only they wanted me!”
