While Portman has had her fair share of difficulties, Mila Kunis has had her share of obstacles along the way. Given the very strict diet associated with her role, Kunis revealed that her body changed forever after she was forced to follow a diet of cigarettes and minimal calories!

Portraying the role of a ballerina who rivals Natalie Portman in the film, Mila Kunis had a very difficult time portraying the role of Lily in the 2010 film. Due to the pressures of being a dancer, the actress had to lose 20 pounds for the role.

In an interview with ET Online, Kunis revealed that she had to follow a diet of cigarettes and consume the minimum amount of calories necessary to survive. Kunis stated that she became a heavy smoker just for the role of Lily. The actress said that irreversible changes had occurred in her body, and she would not recommend this diet to anyone.
“I had to look thin to look like a ballerina. I used to be a smoker, so I smoked a lot of cigarettes and ate a limited amount of calories. Twelve hundred calories and I was smoking. I’m not a fan of this at all. It was terrible.”
In a separate interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the actress said that her body consists of skin and bones.
“My figure is different. When I got down to 95 pounds, I had muscles like a little brick house, but skin and bones. When I got it back, it went into completely different areas.”
This was just a glimpse of the madness that Kunis has created over the years. Due to her terrible diet, the actress attended the Academy Awards, secretly drinking alcohol and secretly dosing because she knew she wouldn’t win.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the actress revealed that she knew she wouldn’t win and hence had the brilliant strategy of sneaking booze into the Academy Awards. Colleague Natalie Portman said she had the best time of her life.
“I think I had the best time at the Oscars because I brought liquor and took shots. I knew I wouldn’t win. It just didn’t even occur to me, it doesn’t even matter. Like, I literally had the best time ever. I was like, “Guys, this is crazy, does anyone else realize how crazy this is?!”
Black Swan received a rating of 8/10 on IMDB and a whopping 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. The 2010 film is available to rent on Apple TV+.
