The actress said thatthe audition basically consisted of two hours inside of which some stunt choreography course. “What a character has become is the result of a long process“, – said the director, –So when we auditioned, we didn’t have a written character to look for someone who could match. Indeed, we were looking for an actress that we would like to work with and then create a character around.“.
Atwell said of the hearing: “it was two hours of doing stunts to see what my natural ability was.The actress later explained:We filmed a sequence of unarmed MMA fights to see if I’m into grappling or higher kicks. A way to see my natural style.“
The actress, who plays a new character in the film named Grace, spoke about her preparation for the role:Through physical training, we found that I learned quickly, especially hand movements and tricks, as well as the use of props, so my character is a kind of opportunist who uses items to turn them into weaponsnot one who is mobile and formally trained“. Atwell also explained that: “from there it character detail appeared: someone spontaneous, a little unpredictable, but not calculating“.
