Carolina Blue has played an integral role in the Air Jordan XX3’s legacy, as it was prioritized on two memorable releases in 2008. Not only does it align with one of the cleaner GR colorways of the silhouette, but it also borrows the color scheme of the individually numbered Air Jordan XX3 “Titanium” – arguably one of the most popular limited edition Air Jordans of all time.
Now, Jumpman is doing his part to give back to the UNC Tar Heels by providing their football program with the school’s first-ever Air Jordan XX3 Player Exclusive. Dressed in eye-catching powder blue, navy and white, Jordan Brand adds a molded suede upper depicting the Tar Heel mascot, while the other side features quilted stitching with NC logos. The same logo is embroidered on the tongue, while “Go Heels” appears on the medial side.
The 23rd model appears to be the model of choice for the 2023/2024 player-only circuit; we’ve already seen the Air Jordan XX3 “Georgetown” crafted in the same manner as other Jordan Brand models. However, the shoe is currently out of circulation and was only released exclusively in China last fall.
In other Jumpman updates, mark your calendars for February 17th to prepare for the Air Jordan 4 “Bred Reimagined.”
