Urgent Israel – Gaza: The American move was in vain!

The Israeli army erased many neighborhoods of the Gaza Strip from the map in the first month of the war, leading to the displacement of 1.5 million Palestinians from their homes. The exile of 2.3 million people, stuck in a narrow 41-kilometre strip with nowhere to escape from Israeli bombing, to the Negev or the Sinai desert, has been mentioned many times, especially by right-wing extremists in Israel.

Israel’s eastern neighbor, Jordan, announced that it would consider the expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank a declaration of war. Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Hassouna announced that any attempt to displace Palestinians in Gaza or the West Bank or create conditions that would lead to this situation is considered a “red line,” and stated that the Amman administration would consider such a situation a “declaration of ‘war’.”

In his speech, which was reported by the official Jordanian news agency, Petra, Al-Hasawneh explained that his country supports Egypt’s position on this issue, and said that “the place of the brotherly Palestinian people is their land and nowhere else.”

It is known that the Jordanian army has strengthened the West Bank borders in the west of the country.

Jordan, which has been hosting a large Palestinian refugee population for many years, is concerned that Israel will view the current situation as an opportunity to deport Palestinians from the occupied West Bank. Palestinians living in the West Bank have been subjected to attacks by Jewish settlers in the area since October 7.

Jordan withdrew its ambassador from Israel due to the war in Gaza, and announced that the Israeli ambassador who left Amman would not be accepted again into the country.

Jordan, which signed a peace agreement with Israel in 1994, was one of the few Arab countries that maintained diplomatic relations with Israel for many years.
