After months of speculation, Usher has been announced as the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show performer. After Rihanna’s epic show this year, fans were desperate for news of who would take the stage during the break. Super Bowl 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Usher announced the news on social media in a series of joint posts with the NFL and Apple Music. Sharing videos of Usher as a young man receiving news from various famous faces that he would be performing at the 2024 Half-Time show, they wrote: “USHER. LAS VEGAS. APPLE MUSIC HALFTIME SHOW. #SBLVIII ——— @Usher, @nfl, @rocnation, @nfloncbs’.
The series of promotional videos was started by none other than Kim Kardashian, whose clips referenced his “Confessions Part II” video. Kim calls Asher to tell him the exciting news, while R.&Star B works in the studio.
Fans couldn’t contain their excitement, with many taking to the comments to share the love. One wrote: “Hits!!!! Omg, how do you choose?!!! Aaaah!!!’ (sic) while another added: “His catalog is crazy!” It’s so well deserved!! And he is an artist!! This will be so much fun!’ (sic)
Legendary R&Star B then uploaded four more promotional videos that featured the same clips of Usher, but he was told the news by different stars – American footballers Deion Sanders, Marshawn Lynch and Odell Beckham Jr. (OBJ).
Usher’s reminiscence clips come from his 2004 video for the song “Confessions, Pt. II”. With that in mind, in the final video announcement, young Asher receives exciting news from none other than… himself (…20 years later).
Usher is known for such huge hits as “Yeah!”, “Confessions”, “U Got It Bad”, “OMG”, “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” and the iconic “Love in This Club” – you know, Just to name it some. Like those before him, Usher is expected to perform a medley of his classic hits when he takes the stage at the Apple Music Half-Time show at the Super Bowl.
Speaking about his upcoming performance, Usher said: “I’m honored to cross performing at the Super Bowl off my bucket list. I can’t wait to give the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before.

Super Bowl LVIII will take place at Allegant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, February 11, 2024, marking the 58th Super Bowl. Previous artists include the likes of J-Lo, Shakira, The Weeknd and Lady Gaga, as well as other legendary names such as Prince, Madonna, Britney Spears and Beyoncé, as well as some of the most iconic names in hip-hop royalty.

Rumors that the former One Direction singer might perform at the 2024 Super Bowl Half-Time show spread on Twitter in June 2023, much to the delight of fans.
Independent American football news outlet _MLFootball was the first to report the rumor. The account wrote: “There has been a lot of talk about multiple Grammy Award winner and former One Direction star Harry Styles being the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show performer.”
In 2013, Harry took to Twitter to share his enjoyment of the Super Bowl and said, “We loved the Super Bowl last night, next year @aaronrodgers12 and @claymatthews52 will own Lombardi.” @gabeturner73 will be watching.”
Despite this, an “insider” has reportedly revealed that Harry will not be attending the upcoming event.
Many fans are hoping that Taylor Swift will be able to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show. TMZ reported that the “Antihero” hitmaker was approached to perform at a sporting event this year, but turned it down.
Taylor has no plans to perform at the Super Bowl until she finishes re-recording her first six albums following a rights dispute, a source said. It was then reported in August 2023 that while Taylor had reportedly been contacted “several times” at the prestigious event, she was “in no rush.” A source close to her said that in addition to re-recording her albums, “Taylor is busy with her current tour, she doesn’t have time to prepare for her Super Bowl performance, she will eventually, but she’s in no rush at all. do it in Vegas or do it in the next couple of years.”
