Happy Birthday Doja Cat! The “Paint the Town Red” hitmaker asked for birthday wishes on Saturday (October 21), but before her actual birthday, she already received a pretty good gift: Usher serenaded her in Las Vegas.
Usher gave Doja Cat his full attention at his Vegas residency while performing the sexy song “There Goes My Baby” from his 2010 album. Raymond v. Raymondwhich peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart that year.
“Oh, girl,” he sang, taking her hand. “You don’t know how good it feels to call you my girl/There’s my baby/There she is, and she’s gone, and she’s gone, and she’s gone.”
“Love everything you do,” the “Good Good” singer sang, then let the crowd substitute “Oh girl, look at you” as the couple danced.
“Doja Cat, ladies and gentlemen,” Usher, who is currently in the midst of his My Way residency at Dolby Live in Vegas, announced to the crowd.
He even improvised a little, changing the words about “heels” to “stilettos”: “I bet you don’t know that I was looking at you when you put on your stilettos / I swear your body is so perfect, baby, the way you do with it you are working. baby/ I love the way you stick it out.
Doja Cat released her latest album Scarlet, in September. Upon release, it peaked at number 4 on the Billboard 200.
Asher will continue his residency until early December.
