Just months after being introduced to a new multimedia company, the 41-year-old American tennis legend and her sister have been tapped to serve as executive producers on an upcoming documentary.

The two tennis legends gave a heated account of what it was like to be involved in the making of the documentary. They also explained why they decided to make a new film based on the celebrity’s story.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion teamed up with Venus and their sister, Isha Price, for a film called Between Starlight and Clay: Diane Carroll’s Hidden Story Diary” documentary. The documentary, currently in production, follows the American actress who broke the multiple color barriers for black women and established herself in the entertainment industry. To share her life journey, the Queen will be involved in the film through her production company.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Serena shared her story about why they chose the American actress as one of their production projects. she says, “Diahan Carroll paved the way for many, including myself, and I hope this personal look at her life will continue to inspire viewers and generations to come.” However, the 1968 Golden Globe winner will become the first to star in her own TV series “Julia.”

In addition, the documentary will invite many well-known women to read passages from Carroll’s diary, as well as some unseen videos and photos of the American actress. Later, the seven-time Grand Slam champion also talked about his 1962 Tony Award, highlighting his unforgettable legacy while touching on the unique storytelling perspective the documentary could have.
