Venus Williams’ newfound passion for the NFL inspires Ciara to deliver an empowering message

Venus Williams has long since become a household name on the women’s circuit. The American tennis icon has produced some mesmerizing performances while winning seven singles Grand Slam titles and rising to No. 1. The 43-year-old’s prowess extends beyond racket sports, however, as she has recently gravitated towards a meaningless sport – football.

The seven-time Grand Slam singles champion is known for inspiring young athletic talent and recently donned the hat of football coach to “help develop confidence and self-belief in girls”. Ciara, the wife of Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson, recently had huge praise for Williams’ newfound prowess in another sport.

As the latest Super Bowl approaches, the American tennis icon recently participated in Dove’s new initiative #KEEPHERCONFIDENT. In her latest Instagram Story, Venus Williams talks about how she develops a “game plan” in her coaching role with young female athletes. The WTA superstar said while sharing a clip from the ground and tagging Russell Wilson’s wife Ciara: “Making our game plan! “We named a play ‘One Step Two’ @ciara”

Noting her football coaching abilities, the American singer couldn’t help but praise Willy Mars. She retweeted the post on her Instagram Story, captioning it: “So cute! I love this! Coach @venuswilliams #GirlPower.” As she took part in the noble initiative, the seven-time singles Grand Slam champion also inspired the younger participants, who, as a video clip attests, were “excited for the big event.” Williams also added subtitles, “Excited for the big game!” and “Team let’s go!”

After taking part in a completely ridiculous competition, the 43-year-old revealed she was “excited” to take part in an event that “helps develop confidence and confidence in girls”. she says, “I’m delighted to be working with Dove on this initiative to help build confidence and self-belief in girls, create a positive environment and shift the conversation from appearance to ability.”
