“This collection starts from the understanding and appreciation of the body that we have always had from Versace – said Donatella Versace -. The Atelier knowledge has been applied to prêt-à-porter: the construction, the tailoring, the beauty of the fabrics”. On the catwalk, the hymn to glamor passes through hints of the 90s and the universe of Helmut Newton. The square necklines of the dresses recall the 60s bon ton with their couture flavor, the feminine dresses with bustiers evoke a dark lady like Kim Novak. A glam and conservative collection. As demonstrated by the sheath dress worn with satin gloves. Tailored pieces highlight hourglass silhouettes with very Versace straight shoulders while Medusa ’95 hardware is present throughout the collection, a reinterpretation of the emblematic symbol of the house.
