Duran Duran are back on October 27th to be exact with a new Halloween-themed concept album called “Danse Macabre”, whose title track of the same name was released today, August 30th. The iconic band’s sixteenth studio album includes three previously unreleased tracks, namely “Black Moonlight” in collaboration with producer, guitarist and composer Nile Rodgers, “Danse Macabre” and “Confession In The Afterlife”, as well as a series of covers. including “Bury A Friend” by Billy Eilish, “Paint It Black” by the Rolling Stones and “Psycho Killer” by the Talking Heads. Victoria De Angelis, the Roman bassist for Måneskin, will be collaborating with Duran Duran on this latest song.
The new album will be released after the band’s special performance in Las Vegas on October 31st, and as also reported by the Daily Mail platform, keyboardist Nick Rhodes said: “The song ‘Danse Macabre’ celebrates the joy and madness of Halloween. This is the title track of our upcoming album, bringing together an unusual mix of covers, reworked Duran Duran songs and a few new songs, the idea was born during a show in Las Vegas on October 31, 2022.
