1985, Wilkins had a tough battle with a rookie who was starting to make a splash around the league, but despite the pain, the human highlight came out victorious with his dunking talents.
Things were different in 1988 because that year, Jordan came back refreshed and determined to win. His Majesty dunked from the free throw line in one of the most impressive shots in history.
1976 Slam Dunk Contest: Julius Erving
However, Jordan wasn’t the first to dunk from the free throw line. In 1976, Dr. J. became the first dunk pioneer in history and changed people’s perception of dunks.
