Massafra is ready for the “Vicinanze Festival”, a musical event that will see Piazza Garibaldi as the protagonist of three evenings of free concerts.
The organization of the festival is the result of a collaboration between the Municipality of Massafra and the Public Theater of Pugliese, and its artistic and organizational direction is entrusted to the cultural association “AFO 6 – Transformers of Ideas”.
The essence of the festival lies in the concept of “proximity”, a word that evokes the idea of coming closer, returning to territorial roots and sharing places with the community. The main goal is to stimulate a sense of belonging and facilitate the meeting of different cultures through music. The event will take place over three unforgettable evenings, from 25 to 27 August, at 21.30, in Piazza Garibaldi, with completely free access.. Philosophy “Vicinanze” will take listeners on a musical journey through different styles and genres, exploring the depths of world music and the richness of the songwriting tradition.
The festival will open on August 25 with a concert by Roberto Angelini and Rodrigo D’Erasmo.. An instrumental psychedelic performance inspired by Nick Drake anticipates Angelini’s new instrumental work scheduled for 2024. Roberto Angelini, renowned guitarist and writer, will be joined by multi-instrumentalist Rodrigo D’Erasmo, member of the famous band. Non-working hours. To open the second edition of the festival will be Valeria Zanframundo, the young promise of the Apulian jazz scene. Born in 2007, her voice with a soft and velvety tone, influenced by foreign elements of soul and pop music, will bring to the festival stage a repertoire characterized by vintage and modern ideas thanks to the influence of contemporary international productions.
