What are the new ETFs that arrive in the country and how to invest in them

To the surprise of many, the National Securities Commission (CNV) announced what all investors have been waiting for a long time: ETF Cedears have been authorized and will soon be able to be traded in the country. In this way, Argentines will be able to access more investment instruments in pesos to protect against devaluation and inflation in a practical and simple way.

What are the new Cedears of ETFs

Through an official statement, it was announced that the CNV authorized the entry into the Public Offering Regime to Caja de Valores to issue Argentine Depository Certificates of nine important ETFs:

  1. SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY): This fund will replicate the behavior of the most representative stock index in the United States, the S&P 500.
  2. SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust (DIA): In this case, it is the ETF that emulates the evolution of the Dow Jones industrial index that includes the largest and most consolidated companies in the market.
  3. Invesco NASDAQ 100 ETF (QQQM): lTechnology lovers will be able to enjoy a Nasdaq 100 Cedear that focuses on technology companies.
  4. iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM): For those who want to get away from the big corporations, there is the Russell 2000 fund focused on the 2000 most relevant small-cap companies.
  5. iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (EEM): in this case, it can be used to invest in a basket of emerging market assets.
  6. Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF): The particularity of this ETF is that it represents a single productive sector: the financial sector.
  7. Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE): same as above, but from the energy sector.
  8. iShares MSCI Brazil ETF (EWZ): As its name indicates, the ETF is used to obtain a profit from the Brazilian stock market.
  9. ARK Innovation ETF Equity (ARKK): Finally, it will be possible to operate the fund of the renowned investor Cathie Wood, which has highly disruptive and promising companies.
