What LeBron James (expletive) did was ‘ridiculous’

LeBron James is 38 years old and still dominating the NBA — and Jayson Tatum is among those who marvel.

Hours after Tatum and the Boston Celtics beat the Indiana Pacers in a historic victory, James led the Lakers to a thrilling overtime victory over the Clippers. James made 13 of 19 shots and scored 35 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals. He did it all while shooting 50% from three-point range.

James played 42 minutes in the overtime win, the second-longest on the team and the third-longest in Wednesday night’s game in Los Angeles. That’s not what you expect to see from someone his age. Tatum said the same thing on social media.

“(Expletive) What Bron did was ridiculous, haha.” Tatum wrote on (formerly Twitter).

The victory snapped the Lakers’ long winning streak against their Los Angeles crosstown rivals. The Lakers haven’t beaten the Clippers since playing in the COVID-19 quarantine in 2020, and they haven’t beaten the Clippers in Los Angeles since 2016.

James became the NBA’s all-time scoring leader last season. This year is his 21st season in the NBA and his sixth season in Los Angeles. Even as one of the oldest players in the league, he’s still a force to be reckoned with as his legendary longevity carries him into another season. In five games this season, James is averaging 24.6 points, 9.2 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game.

As for Tatum, who is only four years older than James in his NBA career, the Celtics star once again showed off his strong performance in the Celtics’ 155-104 win. Tatum made 9 of 15 shots and scored 30 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Tatum also came to the bench early, played 27 minutes, and turned the game into a blowout.
