In an interview with Access to Hollywood with the cast The Devil Wears PradaAnne Hathaway showed off the item she took from the set. Out of all the designer clothes and stuff, she chose to bring home butt pads. She admitted:
“I lost quite a bit of weight for the film, just for the character, but we still had to bulk me up to size six for the role. So I had a butt pad, and I took it away at the end of the film“
The actress jokingly said that she hung it in her office to commemorate her experience working in the cult film. She further explained:
“I placed it in a frame with a small sign underneath that said “Andy is an A.” What was I thinking? It hangs in my office“
Although Hathaway clearly owned her character, landing the role was anything but easy. In fact, the studio wanted Rachel McAdams for the role. Les Miserables However, the actress’s persistence made all this possible. Fox 2000 President Elizabeth Gabler said: Entertainment Weekly:

Will Anne Hathaway return for the sequel?
Due to the huge success of the film, there was a lot of talk about a sequel. Anne Hathaway expressed her desire to write a sequel to the story and even begged the studio to make it. She said MTV News:
“I remember calling them after the heat had died down in America and Meryl Streep and I were on a press tour in Europe. I was having so much fun talking about all this that I called the Fox executives who were supporting it and said, “Can we just make up a story, please?” And they said, “We’re working on it.”»
While the lead star is hoping for another chance to play Andy Sachs, she believes it will be difficult for the original film to recreate the same feel as the other era. Hathaway shared via View:
“I just think this movie was from a different era. Now everything has become so digital, and this film is focused on the concept of producing a physical thing, and it’s just very different.“
Still, the film and characters have remained very dear to Hathaway over the years, and even the thought of being transported back to that era makes returning to them all the more tempting.
